Internal emergency response team

To prevent and respond effectively to emergency situations, UMinho has an Internal Emergency Response Team composed of suitably trained personnel. Team members receive specialised training to:

  • Provide prompt and appropriate first aid.
  • Assess emergency situations and coordinate response activities.
  • Conduct the safe evacuation of building occupants where required.
  • Activate alarm systems and communicate effectively with the emergency services.

The Internal Emergency Response Team is an essential component of UMinho’s emergency management framework, contributing to the safety and wellbeing of the entire academic community.
