UMinho promotes a comfortable and safe environment for all its users, and indoor air quality on its premises is an ongoing concern. Regular monitoring is therefore carried out by accredited external bodies to assess the parameters established by current legislation, namely:

• Suspended particles (PM2.5; PM10)
• Carbon monoxide (CO)
• Carbon dioxide (CO2)
• Total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs)
• Formaldehyde (CH2O)
• Temperature
• Relative humidity
