In the area of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE), UMinho has established rules applicable to the entire academic community, as well as to all external entities carrying out activities on University premises. This includes contract work, service provision, framework agreements, construction works, supply contracts and other temporary activities undertaken at UMinho.

These measures contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and promote a culture of safety and health among workers and other stakeholders.

Each external entity and its management are responsible for communicating the Safety, Health and Environment Guide for External Companies to their workers and ensuring that these requirements are also passed on to any subcontracted companies.
